Artist's Comments

Collab project with :iconlesingenu: for an object contest.

This "philosophical mirror" allows its user to take an unusual look upon himself. The convex car mirrors give the possibility to take a step back and analyse one's self from a totally new point of view.

Title is an allusion of the sentence: "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear", written on every right car mirror.

Very Creative indeed. I like this very much :)

People who uses the fake excuses really is the worst. They don't dare to tell the truth, and covered it with more lies. If the one you lied to learned the truth, it'll be more painful than saying it right to the face from the beginning.

creative, indeed. but mirrors are kind of scary.

Great concept and execution. That's a museum quality piece. MoMA anyone?
:icongigglingtot:
scary because sometimes you don't want to know what you really look like.

even philosophically, mirrors can reflect something that you believe isn't there. kind of like oscar wilde's, picture of dorian gray - though it's a painting and not a mirror, suppose it was a mirror.

i don't know. not sure i'm making any sense. i have a personal dislike of mirrors - there are only 2 in my apartment, and one of them is hidden.

hope you're doing well :D
